MELBOURNE, Fla. -- A 40-year-old Melbourne man who posted his last will and testament on YouTube before taking a large quantity of pills was likely saved on Tuesday after a person in New York saw the video and contacted authorities, Melbourne police said.
The Melbourne Police Department responded to Paradise Boulevard after receiving a phone call from the Orlando Police Department, which was contacted by the person in New York.
The video, in which the man said that he wanted to kill himself by over dosing on unknown pills, was on YouTube for about five hours when the individual watched it, police said.
Melbourne police said they went to the man's house and knocked but there was no answer, so officers broke the door down and found the man on the floor unresponsive.
The man was treated and is now at Circles of Care, police said.
