ORLANDO, Fla. -- Two men wearing Superman pajamas were taken into custody Wednesday after they robbed three 7-Eleven convenience stores at gunpoint, according to police.
Investigators said the men fired shots during several early-morning robberies at 7-Eleven stores in Oakridge, on International Drive and on Kirkman Road and Conroy Road in MetroWest.
An officer said he noticed the pajama-wearing men robbing the 7-Eleven store in MetroWest and waited in the parking lot.
When the men exited the store and tried to flee the area, they were apprehended, police said.
Detectives said the men fired shots at several of the locations.
A woman was also taken into custody at the Kirkman Road location in connection with the crimes.
Local 6's Jamie Guirola said police did not know why the men were wearing Superman pajamas.
