Spider Appears To Bite Shuttle Stalled On Pad

A large spider was captured on NASA TV giving the appearance it was biting and eating the craft before problems stopped a weekend launch.

The spider was seen crawling on a live television feed to the top of the shuttle and then stopping on the image before walking off the lens.

Meanwhile, a suspect fuel sensor reading dashed NASA's hopes of completing four shuttle missions this year.

The goal was critical to completing the 13 remaining launches and finishing the International Space Station before the shuttle stops flying in 2010.
