DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A Daytona Beach police officer discovered a body in a wooded area on Wednesday night after noticing a bad smell. The body was discovered just before 9 p.m. in the woods located off Hancock Boulevard, Daytona Beach police said. The gender of the victim is not known. An investigation into the death is under way.
