OCALA, Fla. -- A 40-year-old man in Ocala is accused of sitting on his pregnant wife's stomach during an argument and slamming her head into the floor before threatening to kill her.Marion County investigators said a woman text messaged a friend for help from her home's bathroom Thursday and the friend contacted the Orange County Sheriff's Office.When officers arrived, they said they found the 7-month pregnant victim bruised and scared for her life.She told officers that her husband grabbed her by the jacket collar and dragged her down a hallway.The victim said her husband threatened to kill her and sat on her stomach.The man admitted that he told his wife he was going to kill her because he was upset, a Marion County Sheriff's Office news release said.The man was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic battery.Officers said the woman was transported to Monroe Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
