Officers said Aisha Bowen, 18, was recently videotaped by her roommate striking her baby son.The phone was recently sold and the new owner noticed the video and immediately contacted Ocala police. Investigators checked the video and then arrested Bowen at her work at Kids Zone day care.Bowen said she was simply disciplining her child and not abusing him."I took him by his arm and he was standing up and I beat him on his butt," Bowen said. "If my son was ever taken away from me, things would never be the same."Bowen was charged with child abuse and ordered not to have contact with her son.The boy is staying with relatives.Cell phone video of the incident was not released by Ocala police.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
