A Central Florida teacher was arrested Friday, accused by authorities of having a sexual relationship with one of her students. Sarah Elizabeth Joel, a teacher at Narcoosee School in Osceola County, was charged with three counts of lewd and lascivious battery. Osceola County sheriff's detectives said an investigation began on Friday when a teacher at Harmony High School told deputies that one of her students was suspected of having a sexual relationship with his former teacher. The student indicated he was an eighth-grade student last year at Narcoosee School and Joel was his teacher, deputies said. Joel and the student formed a relationship, which developed into a sexual relationship late last year, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. Joel is currently a teacher at Narcoosee School. Detectives interviewed both the student and teacher and both of them cooperated with the investigation, deputies said. Joel was booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
