A 24-year-old Texas man was arrested after a woman's pet cat found a secret stash of child pornography hidden in an apartment where he used to live, police said.

Investigators said Amy Spencer moved into Luis Jimenez's Austin apartment and immediately noticed that her cat would stick its head in a gap between the apartment's pantry and ceiling.

When she investigated, she found seven DVDs of girls as young as 5 years old having sex with adults.

"At first I thought she had poison or a rat trap or something but one of my friends got up there and stuck his hands underneath and pulled out a stack of seven DVDs," Spencer said. "It was horrible."

"This was an unusually large amount (of child porn)," Austin Police Sgt. Patrick Cochran said. "Normally, you find some on the computer or something like that but to have full DVDs -- it's pretty outrageous stuff that is on them. "It is not teenage stuff. We are talking about a 5-year-old girl on one and stuff like that."

Police were able to track Jimenez through an e-mail address his girlfriend had given the Hunterwood apartments when they had moved.

Jimenez was charged with possession of child pornography.
