ORLANDO, Fla. -- Two people were arrested on Tuesday following a chase that began when a sport utility vehicle ran a stop sign in Winter Garden, officials said.
Police said a check of the SUV's license plates showed that the car had been carjacked in Orange County, officials said.
Officers pursued the vehicle to Interstate 4, and one of the passengers exited the SUV near Conroy Road and fled on foot before being caught and arrested.
The other occupant, who officers said was changing clothes while driving, crashed along an I-4 offramp and ran into a strip mall parking lot, where he was arrested, police said.
Authorities in Orange County are interviewing the duo to determine if they were involved in the carjacking of the vehicle.
