ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A respiratory therapist at Arnold Palmer Hospital was arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy, Altamonte Springs police said.
Kathleen Schulte, 47, was charged with sexual assault and unlawful sexual act with a minor.
Altamonte police said Schulte, a wife and mother of three, was arrested at her home after the teen, her son's friend who lives in the same neighborhood, told detectives on Friday that he and Schulte performed oral sex on each other. It is not known why the boy was talking to police.
"No, I don't (believe it). I don't. No," said a neighbor identified only as Barbara, who allows her son to play at Schulte's home. "If I thought something was going on, do you think I would let my son over there? No."
Schulte is being held on a $10,000 bond and can only have supervised contact with minors, including her own children.
Arnold Palmer Hospital officials said they are treating the allegations very seriously.
