SACRAMENTO -- Officials in Sacramento recently installed a controversial floating restroom on lake known for its pristine views, according to Local 6 News.
The California State Parks Department anchored the S.S. Relief potty in the middle of Lake Natoma because boaters were not taking the effort to use the facilities on land.
The floating toilet has chemical-free tanks and is the latest in water-based technology, according to the report.
However, several residents said that the potty is an eyesore.
Local lawyer Tommy Aceituno said that the outhouse was anchored right in the middle of what many people think is the most scenic spot in town.
"When I rode down there on my bike and seen this out-house sitting in the middle of the lake, I was just appalled." Aceituno said.
After several complaints the floating restroom was moved to a less conspicuous spot on the lake but officials are still searching for a permanent home for the floating toilet.
