JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville mother forced her child to hold a sign outside his school that said he was sorry for his bad behavior.
The second-grader, who was not identified, held a sign that stated, "I was rude to my teacher. I can't come to school. I'm sorry."
The boy's mother, who stood nearby to ensure her child's safety, said this was the only way she knew that she could get her son's attention.
"I decided to have him hold a sign up to let him know what attention he was really attracting, and let him know that he had lost his rights," she said.
The boy said that he has learned his lesson and now knows that he has to behave in school.
