Oviedo police officers responded to a call at a home in the 1200 block of Lake Rogers Circle in the Lake Rogers Estates subdivision after a long noose was found hanging on a brach.A sheriff's report said the African-American family living at the address had just moved into the home.The white nylon rope was photographed by police and removed.Later, while canvassing the victim's neighborhood, an officer came in contact with a 15-year-old at a nearby home.After questioning, the boy was arrested.He was charged with a hate crime, trespassing and with the intentional threat to do violence, a sheriff's report said.Watch Local 6 News for more on this developing story.
