ORLANDO, Fla. -- A hose and cooler used to spray pesticides around at least one golf course may have been used to serve golfers' water, Local 6 reported Tuesday.
Photos submitted to the Department of Agriculture by a former Deer Run course employee have prompted six Central Florida golf courses to stop serving water.
The former worker said the photos show the same hose and cooler were apparently used for the chemicals and for golfers' water.
The owners, The Golf Group, have stopped serving cooler water to golfers while the investigation is conducted.
The golfers are not being served water at the Country Club of Mount Dora, Rock Springs Ridge, Twin Rivers, Wekiva and Casselberry golf clubs.
Local 6 reported that the Golf Group serves those courses as well.
The golfers will only be served bottle water on the beverage cart for now.
