Trial Continues In Disney Line-Rage Case

POSTED: Tuesday, April 8, 2008
UPDATED: 1:28 pm EDT April 8, 2008

The woman who said she was attacked and choked while waiting in line for Disney's "Mad Tea Party" ride took the stand for the second straight day on Tuesday morning.

Aimee Krause, of Clermont, claims that Gloria Walker, 52, of Alabama, beat and choked her in a fight that took place in July over who was first in line for the ride.

Krause said on Tuesday that Orange County sheriff's deputies interviewing her after the incident were distracted.

"I had came in and they were ... they asked me to come down for the photos, and by the time I got there, they were all screaming, 'Officer down! Officer down!'" Krause said.

Walker was also questioned after the incident and allowed to return to her Alabama home.

However, when a judge noticed how severe the victim's injuries were, he signed an arrest warrant for Walker.

Walker was offered a plea deal that would have meant spending a year in jail, but she rejected it. If found guilty, Walker could face up to 16 years in prison.

All the jurors were questioned Tuesday morning by the judge after an alternate juror was exposed to a media report while riding on a Lynx bus on the way to court. The judge ruled that the jurors' decision-making would be tainted by the incident.
