Police said there was some sort of fight inside the water park located on International Drive and Universal Boulevard that spilled out into a parking lot just after 5 p.m.

"They were hitting me in my ribs," a teen girl told Local 6 after the fight. "I got Maced twice."

Officers said earlier in the day, dozens of children jumped on an officer who was making an arrest inside the park.

Several hundred children were ushered to a parking lot to board buses operated by Fort Lauderdale-based Xtreme Trips, which organizes outings for high school and college students. Multiple fights then broke out in the parking lot.

Local 6 reported that Michael Roosevelt, 18, and Marlin Laguerre, 16, brothers from Deerfield Beach, were injured and transported to a hospital in connection with the gunfire and fights.

Roosevelt was shot in the leg and taken to Orlando Regional Mecial Center in serious but stable condition.

Laguerre suffered a serious injury to the face. He was conscious while being transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Two buses from visiting tourists were searching and a handgun was recovered in a bathroom toilet. However, it was not known if the gun recovered was used in the shooting.

Tourists were shocked over the incident.

"It's not a very good impression of the country," tourist Barbara Dicavance said. "All of the sudden it happened and it is scary."

Wet 'n Wild issued a statement late Sunday, saying "We believe we made adequate security preparations for today. Because of the group size, we supplemented our own security staff and also had a larger than usual Orlando police presence."

"Certainly, it is up to Wet 'n Wild to decide who they want for additional officers," Orlando police Sgt. Barbara Jones said.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, but a 17-year-old was charged with misdemeanor assault and interfering in an investigation.
