Cheerleader In Videotaped Beating Shows Face, Gives First Interview
Until now, the face of Victoria Lindsay, 16, has been blurred out in a video that has circulated around the world showing her receiving blows to the face and body during an attack allegedly committed by six of her classmates.Lindsay told People magazine that she is still in a lot of pain from the videotaped beating, according to an "Inside Edition" preview of a People magazine report."Your No. 1 friend is your family. Don't trust anybody," Lindsay said in the report.Lindsay's father told the magazine that he is "bitter" that the assault will forever be a viral video, "Inside Edition" reported."You put it on the Internet, it will live in infamy," the man said.The so-called "mean girls" face kidnapping and battery charges.
Lindsay Called For Help
Meanwhile, recently released 911 call featured Lindsay's description of the beating.Lindsay was heard telling the 911 operator that she got jumped.She called from a friend's house in Lakeland after the beating March 30.The friend's mother got on the phone and told the operator: "She's got blood in her mouth a big old knot on her left eye, and we think she's got a tooth broke." Eight teens have been charged as adults in the beating, which deputies said they videotaped and planned to post on the YouTube and MySpace Web sites.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
