Toddlers Rescued From Fly-Swarming House Of Filth
Sheriff's deputies in Eustis received a tip that Noelle Wood, 26, and her children were living in a home without food, electricity and running water on Adams Street near Eustis.When officers checked the house, they said they found a filthy house that no child should ever live inside of, Local 6's Jessica D'Onofrio said.Wood was taken into custody and her children were removed from the house."I'm not perfect but I try," Wood said from jail. "I'm not a horrible mom."Local 6 showed video inside Wood's home with dirty dishes on every surface and flies everywhere. The rooms were filled with items."I can't control how much mess is in their rooms," Woods said. "I constantly clean up after the kids. But I go to school full time also, online."Detectives said the home has not had running water or electricity for several days.Wood said she took her children to live with her friend but investigators did not believe the story, D'Onofrio reported.Officers believe the children were living the conditions for a while.Wood said she is a stay-at-home mom who takes care of her children."I just want my children back," Wood said.The children were placed with family friends.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
