Wildfire 'Person Of Interest' Guarded After Bounty Offered
Brian B. Crowder, 31, was taken into custody Wednesday after several new brush fires were apparently set in Palm Bay.A Good Samaritan said he spotted Crowder setting a fire and wanted to "choke him out.""I wanted to do what everyone else in Palm Bay wanted to do and put him down," homeowner Matt Samaco said. "It's a good thing that they caught him and I didn't. Let's leave it at that."Crowder was transported to Palm Bay hospital after police K-9s bit him during a chase through some woods.Officers were positioned around the hospital and entrances checking to make sure people entering the hospital were either patients, workers or visiting patients, Local 6's Mike Deforest reported.Detectives were questioning Crowder at the hospital Wednesday.

Meanwhile, homemade "Dead-Or-Alive" wanted posters appeared in Palm Bay offering a reward for the suspected arsonist.The reward poster says, "Wanted: Palm Bay/Malabar Arsonist, May 11 and 12."There is a reward offered for the person dead or alive -- no questions asked.Local 6 anchor Bob Frier said many residents in Palm Bay are angry and frustrated over the fires.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
