ORLANDO, Fla. -- Listeners to an Orlando radio station waited in line for hours in the heat for a chance to receive 10 gallons of gas for free.
Power 95.3 FM gave away the gas at the Texaco on John Young Parkway in Hunter's Creek as part of a promotion.
The station provided clues to its listeners before identifying the gas station where the promotion was taking place. The first 95 people in line received 10 free gallons of gas.
"Gas gets expensive, you've got to pay for it. You've got to get it if it's free," said Michael Sanchez, who was the first listener in line.
Local 6 News showed several long lines winding through a parking lot near the gas station.
Some of the people had water bottles and food as they waited for their turn to pump gas.
The radio station said it will repeat the promotion every Thursday until June 19.
