Investigators in Marion County said John Oldenburg, 44, and his girlfriend Darlene Kimbriel, 39, drilled holes in vehicle gas tanks.

During a recent gas-stealing case, deputies found a drill with "J. Oldenburg" etched into the tool.

When asked why his drill as at the scene, Oldenburg blamed his girlfriend, saying she did it, the Ocala Star Banner reported.

Both face several charges, including grand theft, burglary and criminal mischief, the Marion County Sheriff's Office reported.
