ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Federal agents and local authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a person of interest in two Trustco bank robberies that appear to be related.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating robberies at the Trustco located at 3020 Lamberton Blvd., which was robbed July 7 at 8:47 a.m. and the Trustco located at 12901 E. Colonial Drive, which was robbed at 8:16 a.m.
In the robberies, an armed Hispanic male held the banks up prior to opening, deputies said.
In the July 7 robbery, a male wearing a black, red and white bandana and blue-striped pants and another person robbed a bank customer, who was making an ATM deposit, at gunpoint, Orange County sheriff's deputies said. No one was injured in the robbery.
In the July 18 robbery, a male armed with a handgun entered the bank and demanded money, deputies said. A bank employee was then forced to take the money to four masked men waiting in a vehicle, according to deputies. Witnesses told deputies they saw four to six males in a black Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban. No one was injured in the incident.
Anyone with information about the robberies is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
