A 48-year-old worker was killed Friday when he was run over by a road-grader at a construction site, police said.

Titusville police said the man was backed over by the grader at about 4:40 p.m. near Grissom Parkway just north of Kings Highway.

The area is under construction because Grissom Parkway is being redesigned to add two lanes.

Police said the operator of the grader was a 47-year-old employee of KCF Site Construction and lives in Christmas.

An investigation into the incident is under way.
