U.S. Marshals Arrest Wanted 'Vampire'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man wanted on charges of sexually assaulting a Jacksonville 4-year-old in May and believed to have fled the state was located and arrested last week in Virginia Beach, the U.S. Marshals Office announced on Monday.Earlier this month, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office asked for help from the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force for help locating Jeffrey Michael Mitchell, who officials said always wears black clothing and believes he is a vampire.Federal agents said Mitchell was so consumed with this belief, he capped his teeth so that he would appear as a vampire and referred to himself as "Draven," WJXT-TV reported. Investigators said Mitchell would only work enough hours to support his pot-smoking habit.On Aug. 18, the agents learned Mitchell was residing in Virginia Beach and contacted the Norfolk, Va., office. Mitchell was found at his home and taken into custody without incident.When he was arrested, two minor children were in his home and federal agents and local law enforcement agencies are investigating allegations of sexual molestation charges in Virginia.
