WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- A fight at a gas station overwhelmed with motorists trying to get $2.88-a-gallon fuel is being blamed for a crash that sent two vehicles into a house.

Drivers lined up at Dodges' gas station located on Highway 50 in Winter Garden after word spread of Central Florida's lowest pump prices.

Local 6 showed video of motorists lined up into the streets around the gas station.

"God is good and this (cheap gas) was a blessing for me today," a woman said.

"I drove by and I couldn't believe my eyes," a driver said.

Debrah Reny, a store manager, said Dodges ran out of gas after they posted the $2.88 signs.

A gas station across the street was selling regular gasoline for $3.45.

As cars lined up, at least one fight was reported at the business.

While a police cruiser was responding to the gas station, the female officer collided with a convertible on Pennsylvania Avenue in Winter Garden. Both vehicle then slammed into a nearby home.

The drivers were transported to local hospitals. They were expected to recover.

The home was damaged by the vehicles.

"We never thought we'd be in danger of a car just coming in a hitting the house," homeowner Patricia McFarland said. "We don't know structurally what is with the house right now."

Dodges gas station said it expects several tankers to replenish their gas pumps soon.
