50,000 Expected At 'Rock-Star Like' Rally With Sen. Obama, Bill Clinton

Campaign Speech To Start At 11 P.M.

Organizers said they are expecting about 50,000 people to attend a late-night Kissimmee rally featuring Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton.

Doors for the free event open at 8:30 p.m. and the rally begins at 11 p.m. at Osceola County Stadium. Tickets are not required.

A line began to form early Wednesday morning, and the first person arrived about 17 hours before Obama is expected to speak.

"We went to the rally last Monday and we got there at 10 o'clock and the line was wrapped around the building. The people who got there at 6 were right here where I am now, so I wanted to beat the crowd," Obama supporter Sally Fontanez said.

"They expect to get front-row seats for what they expect to be a rock-star like atmosphere for this rally," said Local 6 News reporter Todd Jurkowski, who pointed out that Obama is on the cover of Rolling Stone this week.

Earlier in the day, Obama also will host an Early Vote for Change rally in Sunrise with vice presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden, who campaigned in Ocala and Melbourne on Tuesday.

Last week, Obama kicked off early voting in Florida with rallies in Tampa and Orlando, where he was joined by Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Former President Bill Clinton also visited Florida earlier this month, campaigning in Orlando and Fort Pierce for the Obama-Biden ticket.

Early voting in Florida began Monday, Oct. 20, and continues through Saturday.

A poll released by Quinnipiac University on Wednesday showed Obama leading Sen. John McCain in Florida 47 to 45 percent. Last week, the university's poll showed Obama with 5-point lead in the Sunshine State.
