LAKELAND, Fla. -- Authorities in Polk County are searching for a man who robbed a woman Sunday of her church's tithes and offerings, deputies said.A member of the Crystal Lake Baptist Church, located at 1000 Mount Airy Ave. in Lakeland, was approached by a black man who snatched the church's tithes and offerings from her, Polk County sheriff's deputies said. The amount of money stolen was not released.The victim was not injured in the incident.The man was described as possibly in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 155 pounds. He was wearing a blue, striped shirt with baggy, knee-length blue shorts. He was last seen running northbound on Mount Airy Avenue.Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
