ORLANDO, Fla. -- A man who was stabbed in an Orange County restaurant parking lot during a fight following a road-rage incident has died, authorities said.
Hunter Rosier was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center after the incident, which happened early Thursday morning at the Steak 'n Shake on Alafaya Trail near the University of Central Florida. Rosier's death was announed on Friday.
Michael Montijo, 24, was arrested on attempted murder charges in the stabbing. The charge will be upgraded, Orange County sheriff's deputies said.
According to deputies, witnesses said the incident began when Montijo cut off a vehicle in traffic. The vehicles involved in the incident ended up at the restaurant, and Montijo went inside and came out waving a knife at the female driver of the other car, deputies said.
Rosier got out of the female driver's car and was stabbed by Montijo, deputies said.
Other passengers from the female's vehicle then got out and subdued Montijo, who suffered numerous injuries in the altercation, deputies said.
About a dozen people were inside the restaurant at the time of the fight.
