Holiday Lights Orlando
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites residents to join him for the city's tradition of Holiday Lights Orlando.
The event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. at the Orlando City Hall plaza, located at 400 S. Orange Ave.
The highlight of the evening will be the lighting of the majestic 33-foot Douglas Fir Christmas tree, adorned with 12,000 energy-efficient LED lights.
In addition to the spectacular tree lighting ceremony, festivities will include a diverse array of musical entertainment, a sing-a-long with Local 6 News anchor Bob Frier, a visit from Santa and a special appearance by Orlando's own Joey Fatone.
Admission to Holiday Lights Orlando is free.
In the spirit of holiday giving, the city has teamed up with Johnny and Jayde of XL 106.7 to support the Baby DJ Fund. Toys collected will be distributed by XL 106.7 to local families who are unable to provide their children with toys for the holidays.
