EUSTIS -- One person is dead and another wounded after gunfire erupted at a home in the Pine Lakes area of Eustis.Police received a call at about 2:15 p.m. Saturday reporting a shooting at 31704 South Lake Drive.When deputies arrived, they found a man had been shot and killed and that a woman had been shot in the arm.Police said they believe that Brian Boardway, 31, who owns the home, was the shooter. He is currently being questioned by police at the Lake County Sheriff's Office.The victim, Daniel Rogers, is Boardway's stepfather.Gloria Rodgers, Boardway's mother and a clerk with the Lake County Sheriff's Office, was shot in the arm and is being treated at Florida Hospital Waterman.She and her husband arrived at Boardway's home for an unknown reason before they were shot by what appeared to be a small caliber handgun, police said.
