MICCO, Fla. -- A Sebastian man was killed Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Micco, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Joseph Shultz, 57 was killed in the 10:52 a.m. accident on Central Avenue when the southbound trike motorcycle he was riding was struck from behind by a car driven by Theron Smith, 79, of Micco, according to the FHP report.
The motorcycle was being towed by an SUV driven by Dave Reece, 62, of Micco, the report said. The two vehicles were traveling at less than the posted 25 mph speed limit and the SUV had its emergency flashers on, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported. The report also said Smith failed to see the motorcycle and hit it, pushing it into the SUV.
Shultz was thrown off the motorcycle.
