One-thousand people celebrated the United States' 233rd birthday by becoming citizens of the country in a ceremony at Disney.

Immigrants from more than 100 countries became U.S. citizens in front of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, taking the oath of allegiance.

Marcos Gimenez, who came to the United States from Argentia at the age of 11, said becoming a U.S. citizen is a privilege.

"It's amazing. I've been here waiting for this for a long time. Just to be here at the Magic Kingdom, it's an honor to become an American," said Gimenez, who wants to pursue a career in federal law enforcement.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalized more than 1 million new citizens last year.
