Attendee Burned At 'Red, Hot & Boom'

Fire Crews: 26 Others At Event Treated For Heat-Related Conditions

Fire crews in Seminole County said an attendee of Friday night's "Red, Hot & Boom" event in Altamonte Springs received minor burns from falling fireworks.

Lt. David Williams with the Seminole County Fire Department said it is unknown whether the victim was a male or female. The individual was transported to Florida Hospital in Altamonte for treatment.

There is no word on the victim's condition.

Local 6 News reported that 27 people were treated for heat exhaustion or dehydration during the event, from an estimated crowd of about 150,000. Of those 27, authorities said only seven people were transported to area hospitals.

No serious injuries have been reported.
