A man and a teen were arrested on murder charges in the deaths of a teen and a woman who were shot during an Orlando home invasion robbery last month.
Joshua Heard, 21, was arrested late Wednesday on two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed home invasion robbery and three counts of false imprisonment.
Diego Alvarez, 17, was arrested on the same charges, although investigators said they believe Heard was the shooter.
Jonathan Cook, 17, and Khoy Williams, 24, were shot and killed February 19 at the Middlebrook Farms Apartments in what Orlando police described as an apparent random attack.
A third person was also shot, but he survived and provided police with a description of the assailants.
"Initially, Heard was listed as a person if interest in this case, and we're just glad this suspected killer is off the streets," said Orlando police Sgt. Jim Young, who added that Heard was arrested without incident near Ivey Lane.
Heard was taken to the Orange County Jail and Alvarez was taken into juvenile custody.
