2 crash victims sought in Sanford

Police say car slammed into power pole

SANFORD, Fla. – Two people believed to be seriously injured are sought after a crash early Thursday in Sanford, police said.

The single-vehicle crash was reported on 25th Street near Hardy Avenue and Old Lake Mary Road.

Police said the vehicle slammed into a power pole. When officers arrived, the occupants had left the area, police said. 

"Based on the scene, we have reason to believe they could be seriously injured," police said in an email to News 6. "We are asking anyone with information to please contact the Sanford Police Department as we are concerned about the occupants and would like to do a well-being check and make sure they do not need medical attention."

No other details have been released.
