2 college students arrested in SeaWorld San Antonio break-in

At least 3 others got away; students claimed incident was a prank

SAN ANTONIO – Two men were arrested and at least three others got away following a break-in at SeaWorld San Antonio early Wednesday, police said.

KSAT reports the men claimed to be members of a college fraternity in Houston.

A security guard spotted the group of college students before 2 a.m. and was able to catch one of the men. San Antonio police found the other man.

Arrested were Duc Thien Nguyen, 23, and Huy Quang Mai, 18. Both men were charged with criminal trespassing and theft.

The men said the break-in was intended to a prank, police said.

Police said they heard reports, possibly from a security guard, that the men wanted to play with animals at the park and take pictures with them, but officers were not able to confirm whether the reports were true.

A SeaWorld San Antonio official said that no animals were harmed in the incident.

The men did break into a storage area and stole some ice cream to eat, police said.
