2 Lake County high school students arrested in stun gun incident
Teens brought stun gun to school, shocked student, deputies say
Two students were arrested at Lake Minneola High School on Friday after deputies say one student shocked another student with a stun gun in the school gymnasium.
The adult arrestee, Dallas Blanchard, has been charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and discharging a weapon on school grounds. Deputies said Blanchard brought the stun gun to school and shared it with a juvenile student in the boys' locker room.
The juvenile student then used the stun gun on a classmate who volunteered to be shocked, according to deputies, and videotaped the incident. Local 6 is in the process of obtaining the video.
No injuries were reported.
Blanchard, who also had a pocketknife on school grounds, was booked in to the Lake County Jail on $4,000 bond and was released. The juvenile arrestee was charged with discharging a weapon on school grounds and was turned over to his parents.
