Man accused of shooting at cars in Oviedo, deputies say

OVIEDO, Fla. – A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of shooting dozens of rounds in the area of Oklahoma Street and State Road 426 in Oviedo, striking multiple cars.

No one was injured in the shooting, which was reported around 10:30 a.m.

Marc Anthony Garcia, 40, was arrested on more than a dozen charges, including aggravated assault and firing a deadly missile into a dwelling or vehicle.

Another man, believed to be a passenger in Garcia's car, was not charged.

Seminole County sheriff's deputies said five vehicles, a sign and an ornamental statue were struck.

An employee of Zafiro, a granite and marble supplier near the scene of the shooting, told News 6 that four employee cars were hit by gunfire.

State Road 426 was closed in the area while deputies investigated.
