Brevard County sheriff's deputies have made two additional arrests in the the death of a 39-year-old woman who they say was involved in the methamphetamine drug trade.
Deputies say 21-year-old Christopher Lance Maloney, and 28-year-old Dennis Ronald Hughey Jr., assisted the suspects, Jessica Elizabeth Brewer, 31; Dhanvantarivisnu Cramer, 33; and Alexandria J. Schmidt, 32; with moving the victim's body and other evidence.
The victim, later identified as Danielle Jacobs, had been reported missing and was last seen by her roommate on Aug. 21 in Rockledge.
Maloney and Hughey have been charged with accessory after the fact of first degree premeditated murder and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
Witnesses told investigators that the suspects, who were arrested on Sunday, attacked Jacobs at Schmidt’s west Cocoa home in the 1900 block of Lazy Lane because they believed Jacobs was providing information to law enforcement about the group’s illegal activities.
Investigators believe Jacobs died as a result of blunt force trauma, according to a release. The official cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner upon completion of the autopsy on Tuesday.
