2 women found dead in Titusville home

Detectives say it appears they died in their sleep

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Brevard County sheriff's deputies said two women were found dead Monday afternoon in their home and they believe they were mother and daughter.

Major JJ Woolsey, spokesperson with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office said it's usual but they don't suspect fowl play.

"It's being looked at as suspicious mainly for that reason, because we have two deceased within the same residence," Major Woolsey said.

The home is located in the 1800 block Hallum Avenue, just south of State Road 46 in Titusville.

Deputies said the mother in her 60's and her daugher who was in her 40's had probably been dead for days and the 65-year-old man who lived with them, apparently didn't know. They believe he sufferes from dementia.

They said he call 911 after he realized they were dead.

Deputies said the man was taken to the hospital because he had some sort of upper-respiratory condition. They are waiting on his test results.
Investigators have ruled out the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning or gas leak.

Investigators have not released the identities of the women.

Autopsy and Toxicology results are expected back in two weeks.
