BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A student at a Boynton Beach charter school pricked 20 other students with a needle often used to measure blood sugar levels in diabetics, according to police.
Detectives were at The Charter School of Boston Beach about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Boynton Beach officials, 20 students were pricked in the neck and face by a medical glucometer, which is used to measure glucose levels. The needle is about an eighth of an inch in length, Local 6 sister station WPLG-TV reported.
At least one student said that he was pricked on the school bus Tuesday morning.
No students were injured. Some asked to be taken to nearby hospitals to be checked out.
Fire rescue officials recommended parents take their children to their primary care physician to see if they need follow up care for possible exposure to the needle.
The student who investigators believe pricked the other students will be charged with at least one count of aggravated battery and numerous counts of simple battery and culpable negligence.
There was no other information immediately available.
