OCALA, Fla. – A 20-year-old Ocala motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a crash involving a truck pulling a 21-foot horse trailer, police said.
Just before 10:30 a.m., the Ocala Police Department and Ocala Fire Rescue went out to investigate the wreck at North Pine Avenue, also known as North U.S. Highway 441, and NW 20th Street, officers said in a news release.

Officials pronounced the motorcyclist, now identified as Danny Junior Nieves Rodriguez, dead at the scene.
Rodriguez, who was riding a green 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650, was headed north on U.S. 441 when the driver of the truck made a left turn from the southbound lanes of U.S. 441 onto NW 20th Street, officials said.
The Lake City woman pulling the trailer crossed the northbound lanes to travel east when the crash took place. She was behind the wheel of a 2000 gray Dodge Ram 3500 at the time.
The crash remains under investigation.
