TITUSVILLE – Titusville Police received a call of gunfire Friday night just after 9:00 p.m. in the area of Pine Street and Grannis Avenue.
Responding officers found a male in the yard of a home on Pine Street who appeared to have been shot. Sharrod Freeman, 20, of Titusville was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are exploring several leads in the case. A motive has not yet been established, and suspects are not being identified at this time.
A male was brought to a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound around the same time; however a connection between the two has not been confirmed at this time.
Detectives believe that there could potentially be several eyewitnesses who have not yet come forward.
