ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- More than 100 patients, including an hours-old newborn, were transported to a new hospital on Tuesday as Florida Hospital closed one of its locations.
Patients at Florida Hospital Ormond Beach were moved to a new facility on Memorial Medical Parkway in Daytona Beach.
The baby was transported to the new hospital in an isolette, which looks like a "bubble" and is typically used for premature infants. The device is used to control temperature and humidity, and it also provides oxygen.
The parents of the newborn traveled with their baby to the new facility.
