A 67-year-old man was arrested Thursday at Orlando International Airport after he attempted to get a loaded gun through an X-ray machine, according to a police report.

Richard John Foster, of Alachua, was arrested after a Transportation Security Administration agent spotted the handgun, the report said.

According to Orlando police, the TSA agent contacted an officer and showed him the image of the gun on the X-ray machine. A bag was removed from the machine, and the officer removed a loaded Kel-Tec handgun, the report stated.

The gun had five rounds in the magazine, but there was not a round in the chamber, the report said.

The arrest report lists Foster's business location as Newberry High School, which is located west of Gainesville. According to the school's Web site, a person by the name of Richard Foster is listed as a teacher.
