ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- A local police officer wounded in the line of duty is back on the road.Orange City officer Sherif El Shami lost his left eye after shrapnel hit him in the face during a shootout in March.The injury forced doctors to remove his left eye.El Shami has been cleared to drive again and he returned to his road patrol duties on Friday.
