PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- A case of potential swine flu has been reported at a Volusia County summer school program.
Port Orange officials said the city has been notified than an 8-year-old child in the summer school program at Silver Sands Middle School has a possible case of H1N1.
City officials said the school is being disinfected and hand sanitizer is being provided. The school will reopen in unaffected areas of campus on Wednesday
Some concerned parents said they won't bring their kids back to the school.
"I'm not going to bring him back here until I find out what's going on and the precautions they took," a parent said.
Health officials advise everyone to cover their nose and mouth when coughing, wash their hands often and to stay at home when sick.
School officials recently met in Orange County to discuss ways to control potential outbreaks of the virus when the school year begins later this month.
