The workers at Blacklidge Emulsions discovered the trapped animal and managed to partially free the cat before calling Animal Services.

Doctors at Florida Veterinary Specialists were able to remove the sticky tar, pebbles and debris coating by carefully giving the cat a close shave.

Doctors said that the cat is still very weak, but improving all the time.

Following an estimated 2-day recovery, she will be handed back over to Animal Services to be adopted.
