TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- A truck carrying bees overturned on Interstate 95 Monday, killing the driver and releasing millions of bees in Brevard County, according to Local 6 News.
Officials said that Conrad Cramer, 82, somehow lost control of his truck and rolled it on its side just north of County Road 407.
The crash released 80 million bees onto the Interstate 95 median.

Cramer died at the scene, but his body could not be recovered immediately because of the swarming bees. The northbound lanes of I-95 were closed, and traffic was rerouted around the accident scene.
FHP traffic homicide Sgt. Cindy Williams said beekeepers planned to attend to the bees around dusk, when it's easier to control the swarms. She didn't know if they would try to trap the bees or simply exterminate them.
The cargo was worth about $10,000.
Authorities believe that the bee truck crash also caused an Atlas moving van to collide with a motor home on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to Local 6 News
Witnesses said that the moving truck slammed into the rear of a motor home and then caught fire.

Officials said that three people were injured in the wreck.
In July 2002, a semi tractor trailer carrying several cases of hives collided with a flatbed truck in front of it, knocking the cargo all over the highway.
Interstate 95 was closed for more than six hours while workers attempted to corral the bees and officials worked to clear the wreckage and scoop up the honey that had spilled.
