ZELLWOOD, Fla. -- Four people escaped a Zellwood house fire early Friday morning, and the homeowner believes the blaze was set by someone who is obsessed with her.
The fire started at about 4 a.m. at the home located at 2815 McDonald St.
"I woke up and my shed probably had a 7-foot flame shooting out the door," said Raennine Jackson, the homeowner. "I have a feeling it was intentional. I have someone who is obsessed with me and just would not leave me alone, and the other night I called police on him because he keeps calling me and coming up."
Jackson alerted her son and two others who were inside the house, and they were able to escape unharmed.
"We'd probably all be dead, to be honest," said Jamie Gregory, who was inside the house. "When we got out of the house, the whole back of the house was on fire."
Jackson, who lived at the house for eight years, said she had just remodeled her kitchen.
"I don't know what to do," Jackson said. "I guess Red Cross is on the way. Rebuild, start over."
There were several arson fires in the area last year, but it's unclear if this fire is related to those.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
